Scott Chapman

Hello, my name is Scott. I am the father of two very active boys. We live in Oregon along with my wife where we have a hard time, on occasion, with one of my two boys because of his special needs. His ailments have allowed us to see how parenting a special child like him can be a challenge. My son has been diagnosed with many different things over the years starting with ADHD, and finally after a long stay at a psychiatric hospital he was diagnosed with Early Onset Bipolar Disorder and then he was also diagnosed with Aspergers. After a long road those are the two disorders that we are dealing with now as he reaches his teen years.

My hope with this site is to help, encourage and support other parents and grandparents dealing with similar issues especially fathers and grandfathers. I know that my wife has found great sources of support out there for other mothers and grandmothers but I haven't been able to find much support for just us men.
